Sep 25, 2008 “Dirty Sexy Money” On Set Pictures

The premiere of Dirty Sexy Money’s second season (Lucy’s first with the show) is only days away now! The premiere episode will air on ABC on October 1. Lucy joins the show as Nola Lyons this season after her previous ABC project Cashmere Mafia was canceled. The Cashmere Mafia DVD box set with all seven episodes has recently been released and is now available in stores.

I have added some great pictures of Lucy filming scenes for Dirty Sexy Money in Manhattan earlier this week.

Sep 08, 2008 NBC unwraps holiday specials
NBC’s getting into the holiday spirit this year, picking up several seasonal specials.

Three are from Juma Entertainment: “Greatest Holiday TV Specials and Movies,” “Greatest Holiday Songs” and “Greatest Holiday Home Videos.” Robert Horowitz and Lewis Fenton are exec producers.

Peacock’s roster of holiday fare includes the animated entry “Macy’s Presents Little Spirit: Christmas in New York.”

“Little Spirit” features the voices of Danny DeVito, Lucy Liu, Freddy Rodriguez and NBC News anchor Brian Williams among others. Duncan Sheik provides the music for the special, which is about a boy who loses his dog right before Christmas.

Special continues NBC’s relationship with the retail giant, which is also behind the Peacock’s long-running coverage of the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” Curious Pictures, Mediaedge:cia and Macy’s Parade and Entertainment Group are producers.

Sep 07, 2008 Photo Shoot Update

I have updated the gallery with a few new photo shoots. They were taken a few years ago, but I’d never seen some of them before. Unfortunately all the new shoots are tagged. I do however have one new (and untagged) picture of Lucy that was taken for Unicef’s new “Believe in Zero” campaign.

And here’s a little snipped from a story about Eva Mendes and how she’s good friends with all her Hollywood neighbors.

The sexy star insists there is little competition between her and her Los Angeles neighbours, revealing Hollywood’s leading actresses are a lot closer than the media would have people believe.

Mendes says: “There are a bunch of great solid girls who are also actresses. If I need advice, or if I need support for an event I am doing, I will call up any one of them and they will be there for me - Lucy Liu, for example, or Cameron Diaz.”

Aug 31, 2008 Dirty Sexy Money Promos

ABC recently released a bunch of new promo pictures for the new season of “Dirty Sexy Money”, which premieres October 1. I was able to add a few of the pictures to the gallery. Hopefully more will follow soon.

“Producers are being tight-lipped about Lucy Liu’s character, Nola Lyons, but I have it on good authority that Lyons is a lawyer who’ll go head-to-head with Nick in the courtroom this Fall. As I mentioned months ago, Nick will be defending Letitia Darling — the main suspect in his father’s murder case — and I’m now hearing that Nola works for the New York District Attorney’s office. But Letitia isn’t the only Darling that ADA Lyons is concerned with. Word is, the lady will have a hot and heavy affair with young Jeremy.”

Aug 24, 2008 Trump Tower Dubai Introduction Ceremony

Lucy was out with her new ABC-buddy Kate Walsh. Lots of images from the event have been added to the gallery.

Stars like Orlando Bloom, Kate Walsh, Ali Larter, Hayden Panettiere, Lucy Liu, Aaron Eckhart and Hilary Swank showed up for the swanky affair, which took place at a sprawling Bel-Air estate owned by a South African family that apparently makes its money in the fashion biz. Christina Aguilera performed.

So why did these celebs come out for Mr. Trump and his Dubai dreams?

No one will actually confirm on the record, but one well-informed partygoer told me that many are not only offered cash, but also luxurious trips to the Middle East.

Aug 21, 2008 Lucy to appear at Obama Fundraiser
Supporters of Sen. Barack Obama will conduct what they describe as “a star-studded” fundraising gala on behalf of the Democratic presidential candidate Thursday night.

Actress Fran Drescher will serve as mistress of ceremonies for “The Black and White Gala for Barack Obama… America’s Next President.”

Singer Tony Bennett is the executive chair of the event’s honorary board, which also includes actresses Ashley Judd, Lucy Liu and Shohreh Aghdashloo, and actor Don Cheadle.

The event is organized by Obama supporters in the entertainment industry. However, it is not an official Obama for America event, a campaign spokeswoman told City News Service.

Obama will not be at the event. He is scheduled to campaign in Virginia Thursday.

Aug 20, 2008 “Dirty Sexy Money” Interview

When asked what draws such a huge audience to his television show each night, actor Peter Krause said: “I think the people are drawn to the strangeness of the show. You know, its not the typical prime time soap opera”. To which Lucy replied:”That’s why I’m on the show. They were like ‘Who can we find that’s really strange? Cause we wanna add that element to the show.’ Me!”
This exchange occurred during an interview at the ABC Upfronts in May.

Though details about her character, Nola Lyons, are scant few (we know she’ll play an attorney that tangles with Peter Krause’s Nick George), Liu will be a series regular. The actress confessed to being a fan of the show since seeing the pilot episode. “It was kismet; it just worked out,” Liu said, who sat next to Krause on the panel and exchanged cute little whispers and giggles with him throughout the session. “I feel like we’ve been caught passing notes,” she said.

The whole interview can either be viewed here or here.

As promised I have now uploaded some clips of Lucy on “Joey”. She appeared in three episodes of the show’s first season. We have a total of 12 clips of Lucy’s scenes. And you should definitely check them out. Lucy’s character, Lauren, is hilarious and Lucy does a great job playing her.

Aug 18, 2008 Lucy on the show “Joey”

As you all know Lucy guest starred in some episodes of NBC’s series “Joey” back in 2004. For this show she reunited with her “Charlie’s Angels” co-star Matt LeBlanc and although “Joey” was canceled after only two seasons, Lucy received lots of praise for her portrayal of Lauren Beck (the producer of Joey’s show ‘Deep Powder’…and…a hygiene-freak).

I have already uploaded screen caps of the three episodes Lucy was in and I will make some clips available for download, soon. This is probably one of my favorite performances by Lucy.

And in some site relates new: we now have over 14,000 images in the gallery!

Aug 14, 2008 TALKS BEGIN FOR KUNG FU PANDA 2
Movie bosses have begun negotiations to bring hit animated film KUNG FU PANDA back to the big screen for a second time.
Officials at Dreamworks pictures have confirmed that talks are underway for a sequel to the hit movie, which has become one of this summer’s (08) biggest blockbusters.
The light-hearted tale of a clumsy panda was voiced by stars including Angelina Jolie, Jack Black and Lucy Liu and has so far taken $560 million (£280 million) in global ticket sales - making it Dreamworks’ most successful movie ever.
And Dreamworks chief executive, Jeffrey Katzenberg, insists an announcement about a sequel could be made within two months.
He says, “We’ve started conversations about it, and I think in the next 30 or 60 days, we’ll be able to talk completely about that. [SOURCE]
